Another great day on the Islands.
This morning Phil and I set off for a journey on the on the RORO (Roll on Roll off Ferry) to Bressay. Why? For a Saturday morning parkrun of course! It was a proper adventure with the Ferry crossing and bacon & egg roll in the lil community cafe afterwards (more in my parkrun review).
In the afternoon we headed out to Meaol beach. Idyllic in the weather the gorgeous turquoise water was perfect for splashing around in, maybe not so perfect for a full on swim! The white sands provided excellent wall building and fort making material. There was even chance for a simple sunbathe.
This evening a bit of homecoming, some stunning views over the voe and reading as the dark slowly swallowed up the sky. Such a calming day – good for the soul.
