I warned Nic upon entering Bradgate Park that we might not spot many deer today, they can be elusive and have lots of space to wander. We then spent the next couple of hours seeing many deer upon our ramble through the park and around Cropston Reservoir.
Bradgate is always a great place to walk around and enjoy, packed with interesting sights and things to do. A few years ago we walked up the massive hill to the Old John and Nic was very keen not to do that again (though we did spot it)! Instead, we did a very pleasant and pretty flat four-mile loop before a picnic in the park.
