We headed into the City of Leicester today: a stroll along the Soar, Abbey Pumping Station museum and The National Space Centre were all on the menu.
Abbey Pumping Station museum was a pleasant surprise for a location that was literally created to pump poo around! Whilst some of the exhibits seemed a little tired, the beam engines themselves were very impressive and the mini stretch of narrow gauge railway was a fun 50p!
The National Space Centre has been on our visit list for a long time and it was great to finally get there. I loved the interactivity of all the exhibits, the planetarium was incredible and I learnt so much in the four hours or so we explored. Well worth a visit – just hope the photos do it justice.
