An excellent concept that was delivered with aplomb, Night of the 10,000m PBs lived up to the hype.
Night of the 10,000 PBs is a spectator’s dream; the opportunity to watch some of Britain and Europe’s top 10,000m runners in highly competitive races and against the clock.
Held at Hampstead Heath, home of the Highgate Harriers, the event sees thousands of fans flock for a free afternoon/evening of entertainment. Programmes (with a pin badge) were £3 and you could attend with your own picnic or buy food from a number of the outlets around the track.
It was a high tempo atmosphere with #Lane3BeerNCheer, bars, DJs, circus skills and pyrotechnics. There was also a personal reason to attend with Dacorum & Tring AC’s own Danny Wells taking part in the strava mile – an event that saw Hannah England attempt to take apart a field of athletes who had a 45 second head start.
An excellent concept that was delivered with aplomb, Night of the 10,000PBs lived up to the hype providing a good night out for all.
